three kids and an ipod

Here are the two older ones listening to Bekah's ipod.

I just love how Charlotte is looking over the couch. Kids are just funny.

Cookies

A few weeks ago Grandma sent two aprons our way.

We've since found as many reasons as possible to use the aprons. Each apron has the letter for their first name. Thanks Grandma!!

Pirates and Princesses

Last week we went over to my sister-in-laws library. Ok she doesn't own it but she works there so obviously it's her library. They were having a princess and pirate ball. It was really quiet fun.

Last week was when tax season got a little to crazy, there is always a week in February where we feel overwhelmed and that week always kicks us into tax mode. So all week I was stressing out and thankfully my sister made tutu and wands for the girls. Unexpectedly she showed up with an eye patch for Chas!

Here is Charlotte with her cute cousin.

These two are so wiggly it's hard to get a good photo of them.

The pirate didn't want to be photographed. He kept looking at me and saying, "No, Thank You." Luckily I was able to get a photo of the little guy.

The older princess was not in the mood to be photographed either.

At least they had fun at the ball.

We're not safe anymore

Chas seems to think eating at the table isn't safe anymore. Obviously because the corgi is capable of jumping up on the table to eat our food. He doesn't seem to notice that corgi's have legs less then 6 inches long.

Chas now gets his snacks and looks at the dog and says, "No Scooter." This is at the exact same time that he tries to grab all of his food with his chubby little hands and climb off his stool. It is inevitable that he won't drop one or two treats on his way down to the floor. He gets so miffed at this. It is the cutest sight I've ever seen.

Clearly sitting with his back to the fridge and behind the high chair is the logical solution. I continually tell him if he eats at the table Scooter can't get his food. This must escape two year old reason.

It takes serious concentration to keep dry shredded wheat in your hands. Yes he eats dry shredded wheat. He doesn't care for milk in his cereal, just ask Jay. What you can't see is Scooter hovering on the edge of this photo waiting for a goody to drop from Chas' hand. The dog knows which kid is best to sit under, currently it's Chas.

He heard me taking photos and clearly thought he better ham it up. He has an infectious smile.

Bicyle Bicycle

Ok just think of the song by Queen.

This week Bonnie did something amazing, she learned to ride her bike. Now I can't take the credit for this because she didn't learn from me. Bekah was here last week and while I was working in my office asked for the key to the barn. Apparently the kids wanted to ride their bikes. I was all for this because we had bought a bike for Bonnie but she just didn't get the hang of it. With Bekah's help she figured out the whole pedaling thing that had always alluded her.

The little bike you see in the background is Chas' bike. Jay's sister let us have it since both their kids are grown and use bigger bikes now. So Chas has been having fun trying out this bike. On Thursday, while they were learning, I realized his tired were flat. So that evening the kids & I picked up Jay and headed over to the bike shop. While they fixed the tire we looked at helmets for Chas. Chas doesn't wear an infant helmet, he doesn't wear a toddler helmet, his head fit instantly into a child's helmet. I always knew he had a big head.
